One of the primary attractions for us is our glorious location at the Red Lodge Guest Ranch just west of Bowden, AB., a property which has been in our family since 1927. The Guest Ranch was established in 1995 and is famous for providing good old western hospitality, accommodation in rustic, yet heated cabins, and exceptional food.

Dale and Wendy have been welcoming diverse groups such as schools, youth groups and corporations to their working ranch for over 16 years, providing horsemanship programs as well as wagon and sleigh rides on their wilderness property.

The two founders of the Engaged Educators Team, Lani Donaldson and Yvonne Basten, are very excited to offer innovative solutions in three major categories: the Business World, Parents and Students.

Master educator, author, speaker and entrepreneur, Lani Donaldson has been teaching leadership and speaking skills for decades. Lani defines passion and inspires others to become their very best.
Lani is a proud mother of three grown daughters and two dogs. She is a former teacher and administrator in Calgary’s largest school system. Her expertise is “seeing the big picture”. She is an expert in teaching study skills; she understands how to navigate the school system and has a passion to help you create the best possible presentation. The above skill sets led her to co-found Engaged Educators.

Yvonne Basten walks her talk. Often known as the “woman behind the woman” she exudes style and grace.
She is a proud mother of two grown sons. With her international experience, and her keen eye for detail, she brings with her the lessons learned from the harsh realities of Nigerian orphanages to the magical lights of Paris. Yvonne is the organizational force behind Beacon Literacy, Harbour Masters Master Mind Groups and The Lani Donaldson Literacy Foundation.

The organization responsible for the challenge ropes course is a leading edge provider of adventure programs, curriculum and facilities. They are accredited Professional Vendor Members of the Association for Challenge Course Technology, for installation and inspection, training and certification – and their President sits as a member of the ACCT Installation and Equipment Standards Committee.

They have provided not only the installation and initial training, but also on-going consulting and support services to ensure our facility provides a safe and effective adventure training program.
